FAQ

What exactly is a kit?

A kit is a ready-made branding package built around a specific community event or club. Each one includes a logo, social media templates, and a brand starter kit with your colors and fonts — so you have everything you need to look put-together from day one. Some kits include additional pieces depending on the category, like flyer designs, race bibs, or planner pages.

Who are these kits meant for?

Anyone starting or running a community event or club — book clubs, run clubs, walk clubs, local 5K races, and more. If you've been meaning to get something off the ground but keep putting it off because it feels like a lot to set up, these kits are for you.

What's included in a starter kit?

very kit includes a logo (primary + a secondary or black & white version), social media templates, and a brand starter kit with your colors and fonts. Depending on the kit category, you may also get flyer and poster designs, planner pages, a t-shirt graphic, or a race bib design. The product page for each kit lists exactly what's inside.

Can I change the colors, fonts, and club name in the templates?

Yes — the Canva templates are fully editable. You can update your club name, swap colors, and change fonts directly in Canva. The logo is a little different: it's designed in Adobe Illustrator and included as an SVG file embedded in your Canva templates, so edits to the logo itself are limited within Canva. If you need to modify the logo, the kit includes an Adobe Illustrator-compatible PDF that can be edited in Illustrator and is also print-ready for things like t-shirts and merch.

How many times can I use a kit?

Each purchase covers one club, group, or event. You can use and reuse the templates as many times as you need for that one use — across meetups, seasons, or events for the same club. If you're starting a second club or running the kit for a separate group, that requires a separate purchase.

Getting Your Files

Do I need any special software to use a kit?

No special software needed. The templates are built in Canva, which is free to sign up for at canva.com. A free account is all you need — no paid subscription, no design experience, no downloads.

How do I access my kit after purchase?

Open the editable documents and fill in your specific community event details, from dates to custom rules and branding.

What file formats are included?

Logos are provided in PDF, SVG, and PNG formats and are included in your download. Canva templates are accessed via link. Any included PDFs — like brand starter kits or planner pages — are print ready and can be sent directly to a local printer or printed at home.

CUSTOM KITS

What's the difference between a starter kit and a custom kit?

Starter kits are pre-made and ready to customize in Canva — great if you want to get up and running quickly. A custom kit is built from scratch for your specific event or club: you get an original logo designed just for you (with full copyright transfer), a complete kit built around your brand, and editable Canva templates. Custom kits are available for book clubs, run clubs, walk clubs, and 5K races.

How long does a custom kit take?

Custom kits are typically delivered within 1-2 weeks from the date your completed questionnaire is submitted. You'll receive the questionnaire by email after purchase. Up to 2 rounds of revisions are included.

Do I own the logo from a custom kit?

Yes — full copyright of your custom logo transfers to you upon final delivery. This is specific to custom kits. Starter kit purchases are licensed for your use but do not transfer ownership of the designs.
